5 Little Things To Do For Your Partner While On Their Period.
It's no secret that we women and uterus owners have the ability to bring forth life into the world. But what some people don't know is that while we're having our period, we also have the power to make or break our partners' day.
When your partner's on their period, the last thing they should be worrying about is you. It's not that they don't love you, it's just that at that moment in time what matters most to them is getting through their period. It doesn't make them a villain for needing chocolate, magazines, the remote and maybe a shoulder to try on. In fact, it makes them normal.
The next time you know their next period is approaching, try one of these 5 little tips to make life easier (for everyone) during that time of the month.
1: Go get their period products.
Do you know what period products your partner uses? If not, check in with them and see what they might need so they aren't caught short. There's a lot of variety to choose from, and they may be using menstrual cups, period underwear, reusable pads, and disposables such as tampons and period pads.

2: Take some chores off their hands.
They may have had all intention to get all of the chores done but then along comes their period and now they're fatigued, hungry and maybe even in pain. To avoid them reaching this point and the guilt that can follow because the housework feels impossible to do, try taking some jobs of their hands and letting them know you're here to support them.
3: Treat them to their favourite food.
Do you know your partners favourite comfort foods? Go get them! We know you want to help, but maybe you don't know how. Trust us, a gesture of some nourishing comfort food can go a long way, and your fine deed will not go unnoticed this month.
4: Give them a massage.
If your partner enjoys touch, offering a relaxing massage over their lower back and stomach area can really help with the discomfort and pain they may be feeling with menstrual cramps. Massage, both for you and your partner, can promote feelings of bonding.
Research has shown that touch is a powerful sense and can foster feelings of love, comfort, safety and well-being. Grab yourself some Almond Oil, and a drop of their favourite essential oil such as Geranium or Lavender to get started.
5: Bring them a soothing cup of herbal tea.
Herbal teas are your partner's best friend while on their period. In fact, they can ease menstrual cramping, reduce heavy bleeding, help with bloating, and even reduce feelings of anxiousness. Look for teas with ingredients like raspberry leaf, ginger, cinnamon, peppermint, calendula, yarrow, and chaste Tree.
The takeaway: You can help your partner feel so much more comfortable and supported during their period with these 5 little tips.
